It’s been a long time since we’ve heard anything from Per Joar Hansen (Perry among friends) who for a number of years had a number of different roles in Rosenborg, including head coach. – But it is not the job that can bring the 60-year-old back into the ring.
Gif Sundsvall is last in the Superettan – with only 9 points in 14 games. Now an old acquaintance can return to save the club.

Earlier in the season, Erol Ates was fired. Since then, Ion Doro’s Guler and Carl Paulsson have acted as temporary solutions – but now everything points to a well-known name.
According to Aftonbladet, Norwegian Per Joar Hansen is very relevant for the coaching job in Sundsvall. He has previously had two periods in “Giffarna”, and has also led Aalesund, Norway’s U21 national team and been an assistant on the national team under Lars Lagerbäck.
And Lagerbäck could be the key here. He works as an advisor in Gif Sundsvall – and together with Hansen, they have a well-established collaboration from the national team work.
Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, but Per Joar Hansen appears to be the main candidate. Superettan starts up again on July 18 – and time is getting short for Sundsvall.
