Victory against Manchester United. Victory against Coventry. Before Sunday’s games in the 3rd round, Hull City was in 2nd place in the Premier League. In other words, one of the big surprises in the world’s toughest league. On Saturday, it was Jens Hjertø-Dahl’s turn to put on the Tigers shirt in the Premier League and sign up for this football adventure.
On Saturday, it was Aston Villa who would test themselves against Premier League newcomer Hull City. Last season’s 4th best club in the Premier League narrowly escaped defeat, but also failed to score against the Tigers from Hull.

With less than ten minutes left of regulation time, Jens Hjertø-Dahl finally got his chance – and became the seventh Norwegian to play Premier League football this season.
Hjertø-Dahl was substituted in the 81st minute as Hull hosted Aston Villa at home. The game ended goalless, 0-0, but the hosts put a lot of pressure on the Villa goal in the final minutes.
Despite several dangerous situations, Hull were unable to get the ball into the net – and both teams had to settle for one point each. For Hull, however, the evening was a success. The team is still unbeaten in this year’s Premier League – and has yet to concede a single goal. An impressive start for the promoted team.
He is 20 years young, but already has almost ninety games in the Eliteserien. Within a week in August, the transfer from Tromsø to Hull City and the Premier League came for Hjertø-Dahl. Talk about having chosen the perfect club!
