Four years later, the French captain hails Zidane as the new coach of Les Bleus.
Kylian Mbappé is very happy to have Zinedine Zidane as his new national team coach. Mbappé talks about how Zidane took him to Real Madrid when he was a teenager, and that it feels like something out of a movie to now be able to play for him.

“He was the first one to pick me up and take me to Real Madrid, to the training ground. I was 13 or 14, so it’s been a long time. Now he’s my national team coach. It’s like a movie, but it’s amazing. It’s real,” Mbappé said, according to Spanish AS.
“We have started a new process with France. We have two years to prepare for the European Championship, and that is what we are focusing on now,” says a very satisfied Mbappé
