Poland will host the men’s volleyball world championship for the third time in history. Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced that Poland would organize the world championships.

Poland will host the men’s volleyball world championship. This information was provided by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the European Sports and Tourism Congress in Zakopane. He was accompanied on stage by, among others, captain of the volleyball team, Bartosz Kurek.

This will be the third time that Poland will host the men’s world championships. For the first time, Poles organized such an event in 2014. The tournament ended with the triumph of the Poles, who won the gold medal for the second time in history, defeating Brazil 3-1 in the final.

The next World Cup was held in Poland in 2022 after the rights to organize the event were taken away from Russia following the invasion of Ukraine and awarded to Poland and Slovenia. This time, the Poles became runners-up, losing to the Italians 1:3.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki officially announced that Poland will host the world championships in 2027, although there is no information confirming these reports on the website of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) yet.
