It could be a busy summer transfer window for Rangers after a disappointing season in the Scottish Premiership.

The pressure is mounting on manager Danny Röhl after a weak end to the season, and the team has recently lost three games in a row.

The Glasgow giants are now officially out of the title race, having lost to Celtic, Hearts and Motherwell in their last three games.

Rangers did show progress under the manager initially, but he struggled to get the right dynamic in the squad towards the end of the season. Rangers need to bring in reinforcements in the summer transfer window, otherwise they risk falling further behind Hearts and Celtic in the battle for league gold again.

According to Football Insider, Rangers are now ready to step up for Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Bobby Clark ahead of the summer transfer window. After spending last season on loan at Championship club Derby County, Salzburg are willing to let Clark leave for a small fee later this year.

Rangers are now ready to sign the former Liverpool midfielder, who was described as “unbelievable” by Jürgen Klopp when they were both at Anfield.

Clark left Liverpool in 2024, before returning to England to join Derby on loan in the Championship this season.

Clark has a contract until 2029

Clark’s versatility will be of great benefit to the Rangers

During his time at Derby, Clark played in a variety of positions, and he helped them fight to the playoffs – even if they didn’t make it all the way.

The former Liverpool player played both as the deepest midfielder and out on the right wing in attack.
