The Argentine attacker has become the main target of a European giant that has its finances in order!
PSG are preparing a bid of €200 million to secure Julián Álvarez immediately in the summer window, convincing the striker to move to France. It is a requirement from manager Luis Enrique to win the Champions League again for the third time in a row.
Paris Saint-Germain already hold the world record for transfers, spending €222 million on a not-so-successful transfer for Neymar in a move from Barcelona. – A possible Julián Álvarez purchase would be the second most expensive transfer of all time.
The Paris club’s sporting management has made this drastic decision following the sale of Gonçalo Ramos to AC Milan for over €70 million – money they now want to invest directly in the Argentine international star.

Just like Norway, who already before the match against France last night was assured of advancement in the World Cup, Argentina has decided to save their biggest star Lionel Messi in tomorrow’s match against Jordan.
The leaders of the Parc des Princes want to put an irresistible bid on the table for Atlético Madrid, while also offering the player a lucrative contract to lure him to France. The challenge is that Julián Álvarez is primarily waiting for an offer from FC Barcelona – after he clearly expressed his desire to leave Atlético in a World Cup interview.
But the tense atmosphere at the Metropolitano plays into PSG’s hands. The Atlético management is opposed to strengthening a historic LaLiga rival directly. At the same time, Barcelona are struggling financially to handle such a big transfer – making PSG the most realistic option in the summer’s big transfer saga.
PSG prepares offensive to sign Julián Álvarez
The massive bid from PSG is in line with the club’s strategy to build a dream front that can secure them the long-awaited third Champions League title. French leaders want to convince Álvarez by offering him an undisputed leadership role in the project – as the absolute reference in the attack.
The plan is to combine El Araña’s creativity and goalscoring prowess with stars such as Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Désiré Doué – and thus create an attack with enormous scoring potential in Europe.
Rumours from Sport on Friday indicate that Mateu Alemany is in close dialogue with PSG about a parallel transfer for Kang-In Lee – which could open up a deal for Álvarez if Barcelona talks come to a complete halt.
Barça’s plans are complicated
The situation is deadlocked due to Barcelona’s strict financial framework. Although the Catalans have tried to pressure Álvarez to seek an exit, Atlético are sticking to demands that Barcelona cannot meet without a comprehensive sale first.
While the World Cup is in full swing, the relationship between Álvarez and the Atlético management is completely shattered – and his future in Spain is untenable. Thus, the 26-year-old’s advisors are forced to consider foreign options, where PSG will do everything possible to complete the transfer for around 200 million euros.
The next few weeks will be crucial – whether Barcelona’s perseverance bears fruit, or PSG’s financial muscle will decide the fate of the Argentine star. In Paris, they are confident that the club’s sporting prestige and unlimited resources will eventually convince Julián Álvarez – and give them a quality boost that can ensure European dominance.
