At 26, the Portuguese midfielder is entering his fifth season in Paris. He joined from Porto in the summer of 2022 and has gradually increased his importance to become one of the players with the most playing time in midfield.
He has also delivered impressive numbers in Europe. In the 2025/26 Champions League, he scored five goals and had one assist, while maintaining a passing percentage of 94 percent – a figure that testifies to his influence on PSG’s possession and play.
Florentino Pérez makes one last effort
The bid comes at a time when Real Madrid have already invested significant sums in this transfer window, but have failed to meet Jose Mourinho’s needs. The club had virtually completed the planning of the squad, but still kept the door ajar for an opportunity that could change the situation.
