The bosses at Tottenham have looked at their recent history of constantly new managers who after a short time lose their jobs due to poor results. – None have been worse than what Roberto de Zerbi has delivered at the start of the Premier League season.
The Italian manager is on everyone’s list of who can be sacked during the international break, but according to TEAMtalk, there is unity at the bottom and a decision that Se Zerbi will have time to turn the tide.

Tottenham want to bring in a new striker for Roberto De Zerbi
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to sell more players in the January window to fund a move for an established striker.
For the first time in 18 years, Spurs find themselves at the bottom of the table after five games in the new season – fuelling talk that a new change is needed.
The north London club have decided to invest further in De Zerbi in the January window – after a summer in which Spurs spent over £300 million on new players.
According to Football Insider, Tottenham will “facilitate exits” to “bring in a proven top striker” in January.
De Zerbi’s current main options in attack are Dominic Solanke and new signing Omar Marmoush, after De Zerbi decided to remove Richarlison from the squad.
However, Solanke and Marmoush have so far not scored a single Premier League goal combined.
Now it is said that Spurs are willing to make “sacrifices” when it comes to selling players to finance a transfer for a new striker.
Tottenham to “look” for candidates for January’s fire sale
Although the report does not name specific players Tottenham could sell, Richarlison is an obvious candidate.
As mentioned, he has been left out of Spurs’ Premier League squad after a turbulent summer in which he came close to returning to former club Everton and Turkish side Fenerbahce.
Richarlison made it clear that he wanted to leave Tottenham, but was ultimately unable to agree personal terms with Everton before that transfer was cancelled – and Trabzonspor were unable to secure a deal with Tottenham.
Football Insider’s report adds that Spurs are now “looking” for more candidates to sell in January.
For now, De Zerbi needs to focus on turning the team’s fortunes around with the players he has now.
Tottenham have so far picked up just one point, from a draw against Everton, and have lost to Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle and Brentford.
Scoring goals has obviously been a big problem.
The two goals Tottenham scored in their recent 3-2 defeat to Villa are the only goals they have scored in the league.
The addition of an experienced striker therefore makes perfect sense – but who it will be, and whether De Zerbi will still be in charge when he arrives, remains to be seen.
