In the final of the UK Snooker Championship 2023, Ronnie O’Sullivan defeated Ding Junhui 10:7 and won this tournament for the eighth time in his career. He improved his own record.

In the second session we witnessed a 5-5 draw, then O’Sullivan made it 7-5 with breaks of 87 and 79, and Ding’s response with 52 and 104 points led to the last draw in the match – 7-7. Then O’Sullivan reigned supreme at the table, taking breaks of 100, 74 and 129 to secure a 10-7 victory.

Ronnie O’Sullivan won this tournament for the eighth time in his career. He improved his own record. He has won 22 titles in Triple Crown tournaments (UK Championship, Masters and World Championships), which is also his own record. The victory in York is the 40th ranking victory in his entire career, which is also his own record. At the same time, the Englishman not only defended his position as the leader of the snooker rankings, but also strengthened his position.
