Ruben Amorim is getting ready to get his career back on track at AC Milan after the Manchester United fiasco. In London, Roberto de Zerbi is already well underway with implementing his football and coaching at Tottenham after his appointment in the transfer to April. Now Amorim is sending a superfluous star player out of the club – and “served” to Roberto de Zerbi and Tottenham.
It is about Rafael Leao. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport , AC Milan have decided to part ways with Leao, and have offered Tottenham the chance to sign him. After a turbulent season in which Milan finished fifth, the club is under financial pressure to sell.

Ruben Amorim does not consider Leao part of his plans. The attacking star had a frustrating 2025-26 season, scoring 10 goals in 31 league games, while also often facing booing from his own supporters, despite scoring 80 goals in 291 games in total for the Serie A club. Milan are demanding at least €60 million for a permanent transfer, but could consider a rental with a purchase obligation for €70 million, it is reported.
A move to Tottenham could provide the ideal environment for Leao to rebuild his career and confidence. Roberto De Zerbi implements an ambitious system in London that relies on attacking players to exploit open spaces, which fits perfectly with Leao’s strengths.
