Scott McTominay has blossomed and is a key part of Antonio Conte’s success in his first season as Napoli manager. Saturday’s 0 – 3 win over Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi was no exception, the Scottish midfielder was brilliant. Now he is being hailed with a nickname by the club and fans.

Scott McTominay has been given a new nickname by Napoli after scoring against former teammate David de Gea on Saturday.The 28-year-old left Old Trafford last summer after spending his entire life at Manchester United. On Saturday night, Napoli posted on social media a photograph of McTominay celebrating his goal with the caption: “Es un elisir. Scott McTominay, my Blue Label,” translates to “Scotch McTominay, my Blue Label.”
Blue Label is for those who are not completely into alcoholic beverages, a type of whiskey that originated in McTominay’s home country of Scotland.
