A devastating report claims that six Real Madrid players are no longer in contact with manager Álvaro Arbeloa. The relationship is said to be completely broken.
Real Madrid were super happy when they brought in a real football legend in Xabi Alonso before the summer of last year, but he was relieved of his duties after only seven months as manager. Arbeloa was appointed as an interim replacement, but he has not been able to turn the club’s fortunes around.

It is now almost inevitable that Real Madrid will end the season completely without a trophy. The club has lost in all the cups they participated in, and is 11 points behind Barcelona with only four games left in La Liga.
Six players refuse to talk to Arbeloa
In recent weeks, there have been several reports of internal strife in the Spanish big club. Antonio Rüdiger has been at the center of several unpleasant episodes behind the scenes. The German defender is said to have been involved in an altercation with Álvaro Carreras on the training ground. He has also been criticized for repeatedly hitting one of Real Madrid’s coaches during training.
On Wednesday, Marca claimed that Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni were involved in a “heated argument” and “almost got into a fight” during a training session. The two players are said to have stood up against each other and pushed each other in “one of the most intense exchanges ever seen at Valdebebas”.
Kylian Mbappé has also received harsh criticism lately. His actions have triggered a petition urging the club to sell him. At the time of writing this article, the campaign has been signed by 28 million people.
Marca has also stated that as many as six players are no longer talking to Álvaro Arbeloa. Although the six players are not named in the report, Football España has stated that it is “easy to identify some of them”.
Clashes with the club’s own Spanish players
Arbeloa has clashed with several Spanish players in the Real Madrid squad – including club captain Dani Carvajal, Raúl Asencio and Dani Ceballos. The latter reportedly told Arbeloa that he “will never play for the club again” after the breakup.
The relationship between Carreras and Arbeloa is also said to be strained. The 43-year-old manager reportedly believes that the former Manchester United and Benfica defender has a “bad attitude”.
Carreras breaks the silence after the Rüdiger quarrel
Carreras took to social media to address the recent reports about himself and his breakup with Rüdiger. He wrote on Instagram:
“Over the past few days, certain hints and comments have surfaced about me that do not correspond to reality.
“My commitment to this club and the coaches I’ve had has been unwavering since day one – and it will continue to be.
“Since I returned, I have always worked with the highest degree of professionalism, respect and dedication. I have fought very hard to fulfill my dream of coming home.
“As for the incident with a teammate, it was an isolated case of no significance – which has already been resolved. My relationship with the whole team is very good,” Carreras wrote.
Real Madrid are in action again on Sunday, May 10, when they face arch-enemy Barcelona away at Camp Nou. Real Madrid need a win to keep their slim hopes of winning the La Liga title alive.
