Ronald Araujo was suddenly brought to Liverpool on loan from Barcelona on the eve of the summer transfer window. Less than three months later, the Uruguayan iron man has played his way into one of the supporters’ favourites.
Liverpool could sign Araujo for around £47 million by triggering a clause in his deal with Barcelona. Before the Champions League match against Villareal, he was asked how he is settling in at Liverpool. Then came the wide smile from the 27-year-old.

“It surprised me because you know how big Liverpool is, but when you come here, you see the dimensions of this club,” Araujo begins, according to Rousingthecop.
-The structure, the fans, you know it’s a gigantic team, so I’m very happy because since I arrived I’ve been welcomed as just a player. Not only by the people at the club, but by the fans, so I’m very grateful for them, and I want to give back to them in training and in games, says the centre-back.
Neither the player nor the club management will talk about what will happen after the loan period expires, but according to Spanish Marca , there are now strong signals that the Liverpool management has been so impressed by Araujo and that “more and more people are talking about the purchase option being activated after the season” (assuming the Uruguayan maintains the form he has shown so far during the autumn).
