He is the son of former Inter Milan star Dejan Stankovic, but 20-year-old Aleksandar has already shown he has much more potential than becoming the “son of” in the next decade. Stankovic returned to Inter Milan after 55 games at league champions Club Brugge, with 9 goals and 5 assists. Not bad for a defensive midfielder. At the beginning of June, Inter activated the buy-back clause and re-signed the “exceptional” 20-year-old in a deal worth €23 million.
Inter Milan realized they had to act quickly to not lose their super talent. Because according to Sky Sport Italia , the midfielder had offers of transfers, both from Tottenham with Italian Roberto de Zerbi at the helm – and Brentford.
