The volleyball player Walewska Moreira de Oliveira, the 2008 Olympic champion in Beijing, has died. She was 43 years old. The Brazilian branch of CNN reported the dramatic circumstances of the death. She fell from the 15th floor.

Walewska Moreira de Oliveira played in a central position. She made her debut for the Brazilian national team in 1998, at the age of 19. Two years later, she won bronze with the team at the Olympic Games in Sydney. The greatest success in Walewska Moreira’s career was the Olympic championship in Beijing 2008. In addition, she won the World Grand Prix series three times (in 2004, 2006 and 2008).

After ending her career, Walewska Moreira de Oliveira focused on writing books. In recent days, she has been promoting her biography. After Thursday’s meeting in Sao Paulo, a tragedy occurred.
