Plus 7 to 8 degrees, breeze and artificial turf awaits the Borussia Dortmund players at Aspmyra tonight. Of course, these are pearl conditions to be reckoned with, compared to what several major European clubs have been met with on their trip up north, but still. It is probably good to know before kick-off, that they have a significant group of supporters out in the cold.

A good number of Dortmund supporters have made the trip to Bodø to create a “yellow wall” as at home (there will be a lot of yellow this Champions League night), according to Bild , as many as 400 of them were gathered in a pub in Bodø. Also present was Dortmund’s chairman Carsten Cramer. Here Cramer shows how great it is that so many supporters take on the great cost and logistical challenges of making the trip from Dortmund to Bodø for one match.

Because according to the German media, Cramer offered beer to the entire group of supporters at the pub, who acknowledged the support.

The bill ended up at around 6000 euros for Dortmund. Small change for one of Germany’s biggest clubs, but for a bunch of supporters on a trip to Norway, who are used to a pint for less than 4 euros, this surely feels like a big deal. All about Bodø/Glimt – Borussia Dortmund
