Things are looking bright at Årasen and the Canaries are delivering better on the pitch than in a long time. As of right now, Lillestrøm is in 4th place in the Eliteserien, a stable and important part of that is Thomas Lehne Olsen because has once again extended his contract.
LSK has secured the future of its biggest current profile. Thomas Lehne Olsen will stay at the club until the end of the 2027 season.
Lillestrøm confirms this in their media channels on Friday. With the new agreement, Lehne Olsen, when the 2026 season is over, will enter his tenth year as an LSK player.

The numbers speak for themselves: 107 league goals, 18 goals in the Norwegian Championship and one goal in the European Cup. That makes the 33-year-old one of the highest-scoring players in the club’s history.
Only one man is ahead on the scoring list in the series – Arild Sundgot with 109 goals. Now Lehne Olsen has the record within reach.
“Lillestrøm is my club”
Lehne Olsen is clearly excited to stay.
“Of course, it’s nice to have it in place, and not think about what to do next year. Lillestrøm is the club I’ve played for the longest – and the club I feel is mine. I really enjoy it here with the players, the support staff and everyone around Lillestrøm,” says the striker.
Now the European Cup games await in the autumn and an exciting time for the Canaries.
– An identity bearer
Sports director Espen Olsen is very pleased that the club’s big scorer will continue.
“Thomas is an identity bearer for Lillestrøm Sports Club. He knows what it means to represent this club, both on and off the pitch, and he sets the standard every single day,” he says.
With Lehne Olsen in place until 2027, LSK supporters can still look forward to seeing the club’s biggest profile lead the attack in the years to come. Now only one thing remains: that he passes Sundgot and writes himself into the history books as LSK’s all-time greatest goalscorer.
