Tottenham’s owners may sell their art collection in order to put £200 million into the club’s transfer budget in the summer.
That’s what Keith Wyness, former CEO of Everton, claims. He believes that Spurs have a “clear” plan ahead of the summer transfer window.

Despite their precarious position in the Premier League table – just one point above the relegation zone – Tottenham continue to be linked with signings of Premier League players.
The north London club have three games left to play to ensure they are not relegated to the second tier for the first time since 1977.
Spurs are facing a rebuilding of their squad this summer regardless of which league the club plays in next season, as many star players are expected to leave the team.
Spurs need £200m boost to bolster squad for next season
Everton’s former boss Keith Wyness – who was CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football advisory firm advising elite clubs – believes Spurs want to continue to be linked with “very high-profile players” to distract from their relegation battle.
In the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness sees a “problem” with Tottenham’s approach if they actually stay in the Premier League. “It seems to be part of a pretty deliberate strategy on the part of Spurs’ communications side to actually link themselves to a number of players, very high-profile players.
“It seems to be more about setting the narrative of what’s going to happen next season, and trying to take the fans’ attention away from the real danger that lies ahead of them right now in terms of relegation. It looks like a pretty clear strategy.
“The problem with this is that if it actually happens, and they stay up, then they also have to follow it up. We know that the financial situation at Spurs is not good. I saw the other day that the Lewis family is going to sell their art collection, valued at over £200 million.
“I don’t know if that money is going to go into Tottenham’s coffers, because they’re going to need that kind of money from the owners to start making a difference in the squad for next season, so we don’t have a repeat of what has happened this year.
On Monday, it is ready for another important match. Tottenham host Leeds at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham hunt for Sunderland goalkeeper
Sources have told Football Insider that Spurs have put Sunderland goalkeeper Robin Roefs on their transfer list for the summer.
Any deal would be contingent on Spurs being a Premier League club next season, although Sunderland are confident they can keep hold of the 23-year-old anyway.
Spurs are keen to bring in a new goalkeeper next season due to concerns over Guglielmo Vicario, and the prospect of the Italian returning to Serie A.
Roefs has been one of the strongest goalkeepers in the Premier League this season, with nine clean sheets in 32 games from the start.
