Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille in 2020 for €70 million, and quickly became one of Europe’s most feared strikers. He was instrumental in Napoli winning Serie A in 2022/23 – the club’s first league title in over 30 years – and was named league player of the year.
After a season with several injuries and tensions about his future, he left Napoli in the summer of 2024 and was loaned to Galatasaray. In Turkey, he has been a pure goal machine – with 59 goals in 74 games and a central role in the club’s success both in the league and Europe.
Now he is ready for the next step: the Premier League.
Tottenham will take advantage of the opportunity
Several Premier League clubs have previously tried to bring Osimhen to England, where Chelsea were the closest. Now it’s Tottenham who will take advantage of the situation – and they can secure a real X-factor in attack at a “decent” price.
According to CaughtOffside’s sources, Spurs have made an initial bid of up to £55 million. The Galatasaray management expects £65 million.
Tottenham have not come close to filling Harry Kane’s boots after his exit in 2023. Richarlison has not created continuity and is uncertain this summer, while Dominic Solanke has not quite solved his goalscoring problems.
Osimhen – perfect for De Zerbi
