The phenomenon of Como. Outside of Italy, not many people associate Como with football and one of the world’s top five leagues. Cesc Fabregas has changed that. Premier League legend after playing for Chelsea and Arsenal, legend of the Spanish national team with the biggest titles. Last season he was registered as assistant coach for Como, this summer the 37-year-old was elevated as head coach after promotion to Serie A. Half a season later, he is on the block of one of Germany’s best clubs.
Fabregas has done well at Como. First, he has persuaded former stars to take a few seasons at Lake Como and Serie A, then he has led the club with the tip of his nose still above the relegation line after 23 games.
Bild reports a change of coach this summer at the Bundesliga’s second-best club last season has made Fabregas relevant.
The German media claims Stuttgart, who are likely to lose success coach Sebastian Hoeness to a big club after the season, have flashed Fabregas out as the natural replacement.
His buddy Xabi Alonso has shown the potential of still coaching, Spanish legends, the last two seasons, Stuttgart has seen Fabregas ready to fight for more than survival in the top division. He will lead Stuttgart to the Bundesliga title, as Alonso did for Bayer Leverkusen.
