The Brentford management are still shaking their heads at the fact that they had Antonio Nusa halfway into the club before they pressed the panic cape, when they saw something they didn’t like on the medical test. Two and a half years later, the 21-year-old has played his way onto the radar of several big clubs. At Liverpool, the Norwegian winger is highlighted as a strong candidate to fill the left wing for the Premier League club.
In May, there was a drip from the English media that Antonio Nusa had played his way onto Liverpool’s radar. Teammate Yan Diomande at RB Leipzig was the top target, but Nusa was mentioned as a strong option. After Diomande didn’t end up at Anfield and Norway’s victory over Ivory Coast with Nusa’s world-class goal, the English rousingthecop is crystal clear that Liverpool’s clear alternative is now Antonio Nusa.

The English media follows Liverpool very closely and has good analyses about the Reds. We love that Nusa now deserves the headline: “Antonio Nusa suddenly looks like a transfer option for Liverpool as RB Leipzig prepare to make sale“.
Here is their description of Nusa, Diomande and Liverpool’s challenges on the wings:
“Liverpool are still on the hunt for an eye-catching winger signing this summer after being rejected by Yan Diomande. Reds fans had hoped, and many expected, to see Diomande at Anfield next season, and the news that the Ivorian would prefer to join Paris Saint-Germain came as a real blow.”
“There is still a chance that Diomande will stay at RB Leipzig and with the German club reportedly having to make a big sale this summer, teammate Antonio Nusa is starting to look like an option for Liverpool. Diomande and Nusa met in the World Cup, when Ivory Coast was knocked out of Norway.”

“And while all eyes were on Diomande after the news that he had turned down a move to Liverpool, his teammate from Leipzig stole the show and put Norway in the lead with a beautiful right-footed shot. The 21-year-old showed what he does best by cutting inwards from the left side and turning in an unstoppable shot.”
“The goal has no doubt caught the attention of scouts everywhere, and as Sky Germany reporter Philipp Hinze reported on Wednesday, Nusa can be bought for a very ‘good’ price.”
“Antonio Nusa is a key player for Norway and an important figure for RB Leipzig. He is not considered untouchable this summer, but Leipzig prefer to keep the 21-year-old,” Hinze wrote on X.

“The price is 60 million euros or more. However, one thing is clear: Leipzig must make a big sale for financial reasons. No bids have come in for Lukeba yet, and the club is still determined to keep Diomande. While €60 million is by no means cheap, it’s good value in a market where Newcastle are ready to sign Hoffenheim’s Bazoumana Touré for €10 million less.”
“Touré has also been linked with Liverpool, but looks raw, and although he surpassed Nusa with 14 Bundesliga goal contributions to the Norwegian’s nine last season, it looks like the Leipzig player has more potential,” the English Liverpool media outlet concludes.
We also saw it against Brazil in the first half. Antonio Nusa was a threat with his twitch, technique, speed and potential finishes. A player who will be perfectly suited to the “full-throttle” football Liverpool will return to under Andoni Iraola.
