Zlatan Ibrahimivic was as a player one of the biggest stars and egos in the football circus. If the club he played for didn’t go his way, it was easy to blame fellow players. This cannot be done when Zlatan has put on the suit as an advisor to AC Milan.
Zlatan himself helped lift the Serie A title with AC Milan in the 2021/22 season, on Sunday the super Swede had to be escorted out by security guards from the San Siro. Talk about contrast!

On Sunday, the Italian giant lost 1-2 to Cagliari, which meant that the club missed out on the top four and thus a place in the Champions League next season. When the final whistle sounded at the San Siro, a violent pipe concert broke out from the club’s supporters. After the game, Zlatan Ibrahimović, who is an advisor to the club’s owners and management, had to be escorted to the parking lot, while he was greeted by shouts and screams from angry fans, reports Gazzetta dello Sport.
Even before the game, the dissatisfaction among the supporters was clear. During the march to the stadium, two banners were held up.
One read: “Furlani, get out of here.” Giorgio Furlani is the club’s CEO.
The message was quickly followed up with a new banner: “Zlatan, Moncada and Scaroni – follow him.”

Geoffrey Moncada is the club’s technical director, while Paolo Scaroni is the club’s president. AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has taken the blame for the huge failure, but Zlatan must also take this one on. What he gave the club as a player is now history. Football is and will remain a perishable commodity.
