19-year-old Bouwahjgi Nkrumie broke the junior record in the 100 meter dash at the Inter-School Sports Association Championships held in Kingston. The 19-year-old ran almost as fast as Usain Bolt, leading experts to say that he is Bolt’s successor.
19-year-old Bouwahjgi Nkrumie from Jamaica became the third junior in the world to run 100 meters in less than 10 seconds and is the only man to do so this season so far. The 19-year-old broke the national junior record with a time of 9.99 seconds. After the 19-year-old’s record run, some experts have already hailed him as the next Usain Bolt. The famous runner is the world record holder in the 100 meters race with a time of 9.58 seconds. The result of the 19-year-old from Jamaica is therefore not so far from the record time of the legendary Bolt.
After the race, Nkrumie commented on his performance.
