Manchester City have already completed deals to sign Omar Marmoush, Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov for a combined fee of well over £100 million in January. While Arsenal have not so far gotten the famous finger out.
The sky blues’ planned fourth transfer looks set to land in London. According to Fabrizio Romano, 18-year-old midfielder Sverre Halseth Nypan will travel to Manchester to talk to Pep Guardiola and his people about a potential transfer this January. – The plan is to go on loan for the rest of the season to La Liga club Girona, which has the same owners as Manchester City.
Now, however, another transfer expert David Ornstein reports that Arsenal have now opened discussions with Nypan’s current club, Rosenborg. He reports that talks are already “progressing” for the midfielder, but that no deal has yet been reached.
In the midst of this, new Besiktas manaager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is putting out ex-Liverpool and Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, is also said to have been interested in Nypan.
Ornstein adds that Arsenal want to sign Nypan to play in their first team immediately and that captain Martin Ødegaard will have a special task in nurturing the Norwegian talent under his wing.
Manchester United, who have been hyper-relevant a few months ago, have fallen behind in the race for Sverre Nypan. – The price is said to be £10 million. We think Rosenborg can get more!.
