In the second part of last season, Steven Gerrard got annoyed with Arne Slot. The Liverpool icon – with strong ambitions to lead Liverpool as a coach – thought the Dutchman had to see how the teenager Rio brought the necessary energy, speed and dynamism to the Liverpool attack and needed to get more playing time. Slot realized this at the end of February, and used the winger in 11 of the last 12 Premier League games. Little doubt something big is coming, which has made the reigning Premier League champions look towards Liverpool.
With his contract expiring in 2028 and still no extension, Arsenal and other suitors have now started positioning themselves for Ngumoha signing.

“There is some interest from Arsenal. A lot of clubs are naturally interested, he’s an insane talent. I heard this summer that Arsenal like him very much,” reports The Athletic journalist David Ornstein. He adds that Liverpool are working on an extension, both to reward the youngster – and to keep suitors at bay.
Liverpool supporters will no doubt be hoping that their club can keep Ngumoha, as it could look like a serious mistake if they miss out on the potential of this ultra-talent, especially if he shows up at rival Arsenal.
According to the Daily Mail , there is no imminent danger that the 18-year-old sees reason to leave Liverpool. Ngumoha should be happy at Reds, and even with £106+ million signing Barcola, the feedback to Ngumoha is that Andoni Iraola will rotate a lot this season – and thus give him plenty of playing time.
