There were many Liverpool supporters who did not like that Jarell Quansah had to leave the club last summer. The young centre-back needed regular playing time and the opportunity for further development in the match arena, Arne Slot could not offer this. Now Slot is history at Anfield, the 23-year-old has impressed Bayer Leverkusen in his debut season for the club. Now Quansah is going to be brought back to the Premier League League, but Liverpool fans won’t like it.

Quansah was brought to the Bundesliga club for up to £35 million, an investment the Leverkusen management is very happy with and has no reason to sell the England international, but this could change.

Because according to Sky Sports, reigning Premier League champions Arsenal have started talks with the German club about Quansah. Mikel Arteta wants to bolster his defensive options, and sees Quansah as a good addition to the squad, partly due to his versatility, as he can play both as a centre-back and right-back, it is reported.

Quansah has recently returned to Leverkusen after a long holiday in addition to his first World Cup, where he played three games for England. Now Liverpool rival Arsenal are calling for his services.
