Vincent Joseph says “the time has come to say goodbye”
Vincent Joseph has said goodbye to Liverpool, and the young striker is expected to sign for Arsenal.

It’s been a few weeks since the news broke that there has been a deal in place between Arsenal and the England jewel, after he failed to sign scholarship terms at Anfield this summer, when his contract as a “schoolboy” expired.
At the same time, it was reported that Arsenal and Liverpool were negotiating compensation for the 16-year-old striker.
Since Joseph is under the age of 24 and has not signed a professional contract with Liverpool, any disagreement over the sum would have been settled by a tribunal if the clubs did not reach an agreement.
Judging from the teenager’s Instagram post, it seems that some solution is in place, after he posted a goodbye message.
“After nine unforgettable years, it is time to say goodbye,” Joseph wrote. “Thank you for the memories and for making my time here truly special. @liverpoolfc YNWA.”
Joseph has scored eight goals in nine appearances for England’s U16 team, and played for Liverpool in the U18 Premier League last season, scoring three goals in two games.
If Joseph – as expected – becomes an Arsenal player, he will continue the club’s aggressive investment in young talent, which has been the main focus all summer.
Andria Bartishvili, the highly regarded Georgian striker, will join Arsenal next summer after signing a pre-contract. The same goes for young goalkeeper Phoenix Blayney.
In addition, Habeeb Ogunneye, James Scanlon, Igor Tyjon, Axel Donczew, Mylo Bernard and Elijah Upson – the son of former Arsenal defender Matthew – have all switched to the Emirates Stadium during the summer.
