We suspect that Arsenal and Norway captain Martin Ødegaard have a hand in the game now that the London club is reiterating their interest in fellow land-selling partner Antonio Nusa.
Arsenal are preparing a €40 million attack for Antonio Nusa, although RB Leipzig are aiming for a higher amount.

Mikel Arteta’s side are preparing a bid close to €40 million for Antonio Nusa, a 21-year-old winger from RB Leipzig, ahead of the January 2027 transfer window. However, the German club is willing to consider bids from around €60 million.
The difference between these numbers forms the basis for potential negotiations. The London club have Nusa among their attacking options, but will probably have to meet Leipzig’s demands to turn the interest into a viable deal.
Arsenal are chasing Antonio Nusa again
TEAMtalk reports that Arsenal already had Nusa on their radar in the market and are now making a new push for January. The initial amount discussed is around €40 million.
That figure is still far from what RB Leipzig are demanding. The German club value a potential transfer at around €60 million – an amount higher than the bid Arsenal are preparing.
The financial difference is also explained by the player’s contract situation. Nusa has a contract with Leipzig until June 2029, so the club does not need to sell him in the short term or lower the requirements to facilitate a transfer.
It is important to distinguish between the player’s estimated value and the price his club can charge. The market values are below the 60 million, but Leipzig can set a higher amount by controlling the contract for several more seasons.

Nusa starts the season with impressive performances
Antonio Nusa’s performances also strengthen RB Leipzig’s position. The Norwegian has started the season with 2 goals and 2 assists in 4 Bundesliga games, and has thus contributed directly to four goals in the opening games.
Last season, he played 31 Bundesliga games, scoring 4 goals and providing 3 assists. His development since joining Leipzig in 2024 has increased his importance in the team and attracted interest from several European clubs.
Nusa operates primarily from the left wing, but can play in other attacking roles. His ability to dribble past opponents and accelerate in one-on-one situations gives Arsenal a different profile with which to bolster their attacking options.
The competition is not limited to the London club. Tottenham, Newcastle and Aston Villa have been linked with the player at different times – a scenario that could make it more difficult to negotiate a lower sum.
The next step depends on how far Arsenal are willing to go with their bid. If they stay at around €40 million, there will still be a significant gap up to the €60 million RB Leipzig are demanding for Antonio Nusa.
