Manchester United have a lot going on right now after a poor start to the season. The timing of losing one of England’s greatest attacking talents also creates a bad atmosphere. The fact that the player is as young as 15 years old is secondary when there is a potential £100 million price tag on the boy in a few years.
Young JJ Gabriel is considered one of the best talents in England, and a battle for his future is about to get ugly. The teenager told United last month he wanted to leave the club due to a lack of opportunities. His current contract expires at the end of the season, but since he still has an academy contract, he could leave the club when he turns 16. Man U would only receive £300,000 in compensation if that were to happen.

Manchester United are not in a strong position, they cannot force Gabriel to stay. According to Caughtoffside , they are nevertheless ready to “fight back” against Ali Barat, the up-and-coming agent who has started to represent Gabriel and is apparently behind his sudden rebellion.
According to TeamTalk , United are considering “regulatory and perhaps even legal action” against anyone involved in getting Gabriel to leave the club. Barat received his authorisation to represent minors on the same day that Gabriel started pushing for the transfer, reports Caughtoffside, where this looks set to be a messy process with many unexpected twists and turns to come.
