TEAMtalk, on the other hand, writes that Arsenal are confident that they can sign Athletic Club winger Nico Williams. “So far, it has been very difficult to separate Williams from his childhood club.
Williams is reportedly interested in a move to the Premier League, and “The Gunners” are fighting hard to secure the signing.

Arsenal have admired Williams ever since 2024, and now they have renewed hope of getting him in port in the months to come – not least because Williams wants to use the World Cup as a stepping stone going forward.
The Spaniard is seen as Arteta’s absolute dream transfer in the summer. The question is whether they will be able to convince Athletic Club to let him go.
Williams, who has been described as “absolutely terrifying”, is said to have a buyout clause of around £87 million. That’s the sum Arsenal will probably have to fork out – unless they manage to negotiate down the price with the Basque giants.
