The newspaper expects a transfer fee of around 80 million euros.
In addition, Rodri’s expected annual salary at Barcelona: 15 million euros net over four years.
And then various commissions and intermediary costs are added to the bill.
An expensive reinforcement – but worth it?
In other words, this will be a very expensive signing. But Barcelona are clearly convinced that 2024’s Ballon d’Or winner is the next piece in Hansi Flick’s squad building ahead of the upcoming season.
The question is whether City will eventually say yes – and how far Barcelona are willing to go to secure the midfield general.
