Claudio Ranieri never saw himself as a Premier League champion with Leicester, when he took over the coaching job in 2015. Two years later, the Italian was behind perhaps the biggest “football miracle in the Premier League”. Not only did Leicester win the title for the first time in their history, Ranieri, Vardy and Kasper Schmeichel lifted the trophy with a gap of ten points to the next club. Then it is heavy to follow the proud club in recent seasons, where the club is sinking down the league system. On Tuesday, the last “nail in the coffin” came.

On Saturday afternoon, the club had an excellent opportunity to keep their hopes of survival in the Championship when they travelled to Portsmouth. However, it ended in another failure. At Fratton Park, “The Foxes” lost 0-1 and needed a small miracle to save their survival in the Championship.

Because on Tuesday, Leicedster drew 2-2 with Hull, now relegation to League One is a fact.

Earlier this year, Leicester were stripped of six points for breaching financial rules, points the club proved to need. Ten years after the club placed the Premier League trophy in the prize cabinet after beating Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City, the 3rd division and matches against clubs such as Leyton Orient, Peterborough and Exeter City await.

Football is round, but this is lead, lead, lead heavy for the supporters.
