In the last two seasons, Hansi Flick has secured Barcelon two La Liga titles, two Super Cup titles and a title in the Copa del Rey. In the same period, arch-rival Real Madrid has the total title drought. On Tuesday, it was confirmed that Flick has decided to bother Real Madrid for a few more seasons.
The German success coach confirms he will extend his contract with the Catalan giant, so the new deal will last until the summer of 2028.

“Of course, I’m very happy about this. They’ve given me and my team the confidence to work for one or two more years, so that’s how it is for me,” Flick begins, according to Reuters.
“I think a lot of coaches would be happy if they got a three-, four- or five-year contract, but in Barca’s case it’s good to limit it. I really appreciate that. Now we’re going to do it until 2028, and then we’ll see if everything is right, and if it’s right, we can decide on another year. The club is right, and I’m right – I think it’s a good deal,” concludes a very satisfied Flick.
In Madrid, the Real Madrid management is probably pondering hard how to deal with Flick’s extreme attacking football in the coming seasons. So far, the German has outsmarted Ancelotti, Xabi Alonso and most recently Alvaro Arbeloa.
