Xavi Simons didn’t get anywhere at PSG. After 29 games, he was on loan to RB Leipzig in 2023. Neither player nor Bundesliga club have regretted this. Several big clubs have been thirsty to bring the 21-year-old to their squad, but now RB boss Jürgen Klopp (indirectly) and Leipzig are making sure to close the gaps.

According to German Sky Sports, RB Leipzig have gone to great lengths to keep the attacking midfielder with 15 goals and 19 assists in 60 games.

The German media reports that it is millimeters away from a permanent transfer to RB Leipzig, where the Bundesliga club pays PSG a gigantic transfer fee, 50 million euros at the bottom, then 30 million euros in potential bonuses.

This is a player Red Bull should really bet on.
