Because in The Athletic’s “ranking”, Leeds together with Liverpool have had some of the best signings of the summer. At Leeds, centre-back Tarik Muharemovic and James Trafford are highlighted as full blink signings.

“I’m going for Jeremy Jacquet at Liverpool and Tarik Muharemovic at Leeds United – two young centre-backs who are different in style but have adapted to the Premier League in such an impressive way,” the Athletic journalists said.
Much was said about Leeds spending a whopping £45 million on Manchester City’s second-choice goalkeeper Trafford, but the Leeds management knew that Trafford was already more than good enough to be a regular starter in most Premier League teams.
“The Leeds signing of Trafford looked like one of the most obvious individual upgrades this summer, and it has also shown that: they have conceded the fewest goals in the division (three, along with Everton), and although it also has to do with their defence (another tribute to Muharemovic here), he has been very good,” says The Athletic journalists.
