Thomas Müller was the player who welcomed Harry Kane to Munich in 2023 by taking the Englishman on golf. Müller was also the player who knew Kane was going to make his own performances as a striker at Bayern Munich a little less impressive. Instead, he opted for Kane’s Bayern teammate Michael Olise and Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé, both of whom impressed him at the World Cup with France.
-What’s going on at Bayern’s home? I watched parts of the last game – above all, of course, the Olise show. It’s nothing new, the way he scores on the shots from outside the sixteen-yard box, but it’s still a spectacle every time,” Müller begins, according to Bulinews.
-And that brings us straight to the big question of the player of the year in the world: for me, there are two candidates who have impressed me the most with their individual performances, and that is Michael Olise and his perfectly complementary partner in the World Cup, Kylian Mbappé, the German striker icon continues.

-Why? The two combine spectacular play with a constant threat in front of goal. More specifically, they manage to be effective through their finesse and power, while at the same time making it all look incredibly effortless. For me, that’s what characterizes a world’s best player. You simply need a touch of magic, Müller concludes.
Sorry, Harry.
The Ballon d’Or will be awarded on Monday, October 26.
