England vs. Norway. Harry Kane vs. Erling Haaland. The English superstar did not let himself be fooled into the topic of which of the two is the better striker, but when Mr. Kane uses “Monster” to describe his Norwegian colleague, we smile.

At the press conference before the World Cup quarter-finals, Kane first explained the difference between his role and Haaland’s in the match arena: “It’s an impossible question for me to answer. First and foremost, I think that we are completely different players. I know we’re both seen as strikers, but it’s almost two different positions, to be honest.

“Even though I score the same goals, I maybe like to be a little bit more on the ball, be more involved in the game and combine more. But I can also play as a pure nine. I don’t think it’s an issue where we should compare ourselves,” Kane continues.

Before the Englishman shows what position Haaland has in the world of football.

“Erling has been unbelievable, and his goal statistics are fantastic. Physically, he’s a machine, he’s a monster, and his finishing is at the very highest level. His goal stats speak for themselves, says Mr. Kane.

Before the Brazil game, Real Madrid star Rodrygo went out and asked Haaland to take a day off. Harry Kane doesn’t understand this is happening against England either, and instead asks “The Monster” to take a quiet day at work on Saturday.

“Of course, I hope he has a quiet day tomorrow, but his performances in recent years speak for themselves – he’s a fantastic player,” says the English striker legend.
