Wearing the national team jersey is the greatest honor of my life, and it’s hard to put into words the feeling of being knocked out of the World Cup already in the last eight,” the Brazilian superstar continues.
“I know how much I’ve prepared, how focused I’ve been, and how much I wanted this – for you and for my family. The disappointment is indescribable. We had a squad that was strong enough to advance, but we didn’t succeed. I would like to apologize and I will continue to fight for our common dream of bringing us back to the top of world football,” Vinicius Jr. said.
