At the end of May, transfer journalist Romano reported that Inter Milan were on the hunt for a signing at Liverpool. Now comes the confirmation that Curtis Jones will be persuaded to leave Anfield.
Curtis Jones has a high star among Liverpool supporters. The 25-year-old was born and raised in Liverpool, has gone through Anfield’s youth academy from U9 level and has made over 200 appearances for his childhood club. The problem for Curtis Jones, as for Harvey Elliot, is that his playing time account at Liverpool is filled far too little. Jones has admittedly been given 2850 minutes on the pitch this season, but the central midfielder will have a leading role.

Inter Milan are ready to sign Curtis Jones
Romano claims the Serie A club were keen on Curtis signing in January, where bids of €20 million were made, but the transfer never came close.
Inter Milan’s sporting director now sees no reason to hide his interest in the Liverpool player.
“We’re keeping an eye on Curtis Jones. We have made no secret of it. We will wait and see how the situation develops,” Piero Ausilo said, according to The Times.
Curtis is soon in the final year of his contract with Liverpool, and the 25-year-old is set to be tempted to get plenty of playing time for a reigning Serie A champion.

Then the Italian will probably have to jack up the bid. Liverpool management has previously signalled they are demanding around €30 million for Curtis.
