Whether Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho just wants to make it clear to the whole world that he doesn’t care one millimeter about what others think or if he actually manages an “impossible” transfer remains to be seen.
The former Manchester United manager will be brought from Benfica to Real Madrid as soon as the season is over with the help of a €3 million buyout. Real Madrid need a shock start and then the idea of Jose Mourinho and bringing in a player directly from Barcelona is something that will get the blood pumping.

Will win by all means!
José Mourinho can still surprise!! now he wants to plunder Manchester United for a star on loan at Barcelona – in a transfer that will shock the entire football world. – If anyone can do this, it’s José. But mostly I think this is a chess move to force Barcelona to trigger a purchase clause they believe is too expensive.
José Mourinho is desperate to get his first signing as the new Real Madrid manager from Manchester United. Mourinho will meet Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez next week to discuss a sensational comeback to the club. – This coincides with new negotiations that Barcelona will have with Manchester United about Marcus Rashford.
The 63-year-old previously coached Los Blancos between 2010 and 2013, winning La Liga in 2012 ahead of Pep Guardiola’s legendary Barcelona team.
Pérez believes Mourinho will get the best out of a Madrid side that is facing its fourth winless season of the century. In January, Xabi Alonso left his position as head coach after six months, while Álvaro Arbeloa has failed to impress since his promotion from Castilla.
Real Madrid’s season has been marked by internal strife in the squad, culminating in Federico Valverde being hospitalized after a confrontation with Aurélien Tchouaméni.
Jose Mourinho knows that he has an extensive rebuild ahead of him. What he needs are players who buy into his methods and who have had success with him in the past.
With that in mind, he has decided to show interest in a familiar face from his former club.
According to Miguel Delaney, Mourinho wants to send a shockwave through the football world and welcome Marcus Rashford to the Santiago Bernabéu.
Rashford, with whom Mourinho worked at Manchester United between 2016 and 2019, has spent this season on loan at Barcelona. He even scored against Real Madrid in the 2-0 win that secured the La Liga title last weekend.
The idea is that Mourinho wants to upset his biggest domestic rivals while reinforcing his own attacking options.
The self-proclaimed “The Special One” has a good relationship with Rashford, who is unwanted back at Old Trafford, but who has not yet been given the green light for a permanent move to Barcelona.

Rashford’s view on where his future lies
Rashford is aware that a return to his childhood club is unlikely to be an option. United’s qualification for next season’s Champions League will see his salary skyrocket.
The England international is one of the highest-paid players in the squad, but he is willing to turn his back on that money to stay at Barcelona.
When asked about his future by journalists last week, Rashford replied:
“I don’t know. I’m not a magician, but if I were, I would be. So we’ll see.
“It has been very good. I came here to win. So this is… I want to win as many things as I can. So this is one more to add to the collection. Yes, this team is a fantastic team. They are going to win so much in the future as well. So to be a part of it would be special. So we’ll see.
