On the same day that Rogier Meijer is announced as the new head coach of Sparta Rotterdam, it is clear that the Norwegian midfielder Joshua Kitolano will return to Norway.

Norwegian Joshua Kitolano has signed for Bodø/Glimt on a transfer effective from 1 July 2026. Kitolano comes from Sparta Rotterdam, where his contract is now about to expire.

Joshua Kitolano has signed a contract with Bodø/Glimt. In recent years, he has played for Dutch side Sparta Rotterdam, where the inside runner has done strongly. The Gulset boy was also the captain of the oldest professional football team in the Netherlands for several matches.

The 24-year-old midfielder has been playing in the Netherlands since 2022. His contract with Sparta Rotterdam expired in the summer, and thus Kitolano is brought to Glimt for free.

He scored five goals and provided two assists in the Dutch top flight this season. Sparta Rotterdam eventually finished in 10th place.

Known from the time in Odd

The midfielder is well known to several from the time he spent in Odd between 2018 and 2022.

Kitolano’s brothers, Eric and John, play in Lillestrøm. Now it’s Joshua’s turn to make a name for himself in the Eliteserien – in yellow.
