Over the weekend, it was reported that Juventus have identified Bernardo Silva as the main target of the summer window – and now it is reported that a contract is already ready.
Transfer journalist Nicolo Schira writes that Juventus are ready with a deal that extends through 2028, with an option for another year. The annual salary is said to be 8 million euros. Of these, 2 million euros come in the form of bonuses. This is far more than what “The Old Lady” usually offers.
The Manchester City midfielder announced some time ago that this season will be his last at the club. In total, there have been 456 appearances in the City shirt.

The road so far for Bernardo Silva
Bernardo Silva was born in Lisbon in 1994 and started his career in Benfica’s youth academy. After struggling to get playing time in the first team, he made the move to Monaco in 2014. It was in France that the small, left-footed playmaker really flourished. Together with a young and explosive Monaco team, he shocked Europe in the 2016/17 season when the club reached the semi-finals of the Champions League and crushed PSG in the fight for the Ligue 1 title.
In the summer of 2017, Bernardo was on everyone’s lips, and it was Manchester City who secured his signature for around €50 million. Under Pep Guardiola, he developed into one of the world’s most versatile and hard-working midfielders. He has won everything there is to win in England: five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups and a Champions League triumph in 2023.
Despite his success, Bernardo has repeatedly been linked away from City. For several summers, he has been close to transfers to both Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, but has chosen to stay. Now he himself has confirmed that this season will be the last in Manchester.
It has long been thought that he wanted to go to Spain, but Juventus have recently pushed forward in the battle for his signature. With a negotiated contract on the table, the trip can now go to Turin instead – and Italian football can get one of its most elegant technicians since Andrea Pirlo.
