It will not be so easy for “the old lady” to get her way and sell Jonathan David. Not because no one wants to buy, but because the Canadian really got on his hind legs and doesn’t want to be sold. The 26-year-old wants to prove himself as good as everyone thought before he joined Juventus last summer and as good as he shows he is in the World Cup.
Juventus want to sell Jonathan David
Jonathan David has lived up to expectations for Canada in this summer’s World Cup. The host nation’s star striker delivered a hat-trick in the national team’s second group game against Qatar.

The striker is currently in joint top scorer league in the championship, along with Germany’s Deniz Undav and Argentina’s Lionel Messi.
But it has been tough for Juventus’ club team in 2025-26, and the “old lady” will supposedly use the World Cup success to get rid of the Canadian.
According to Corriere dello Sport, “Juve” are interested in selling, after only one season with the striker. Juventus are reportedly demanding £26 million, around £330 million for a transfer.
Jonathan David was brought in by the Turin club from Lille on a free transfer last summer. During the last season, the striker was noted for eight goals in 46 games for Juventus.
