23-year-old Barcola is on his way away from PSG before the transfer window closes. His preferred destination is Anfield, and although personal terms with Liverpool have not yet been clarified, no problems are expected on that front.

Still, talk continues that Arsenal could hijack Liverpool’s deal – and rumours have picked up after the Gunners missed out on Vinícius Júnior.
Liverpool cannot afford to let this transfer slip away. They have already said goodbye to Mohamed Salah and failed to sign Yan Diomande.
Daily calls – but no bid
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are in active, daily talks with PSG about a possible transfer for Barcola. Despite open and fluid dialogue, Liverpool have yet to make an official bid.
Romano explains:
“When it comes to Bradley Barcola, my impression is that Liverpool are still in active talks – daily talks with Paris Saint-Germain. The talks are ongoing. Financially, there is no agreement yet, so we have to be patient. Personal terms are not an issue at all, and Liverpool are continuing talks with PSG.
“Liverpool know that they need to improve their initial talks and indicated proposals, because according to my information, Liverpool have not sent an official offer to PSG. There have been reports that Liverpool sent an official bid and then told PSG that they don’t have the money – I can confirm that this is not the case.
Why Liverpool have not made a bid
PSG have put the price tag at a staggering €170 million – an amount Liverpool have no intention of paying.
According to Ben Jacobs on talkSPORT, the reason Liverpool are waiting is that they hope PSG will lower the price once they have completed the transfers for Ferran Torres and Mika Godts.
In addition, Jacobs strongly suggests that the talk of Arsenal hijacking Liverpool’s deal is exaggerated. For now, Liverpool do not fear competition from the Gunners.
“Liverpool feel that they are in control of this narrative because they are in contact with PSG,” Jacobs said.
“And I think it’s more important than worrying about what Arsenal are doing, waiting for PSG to maybe sign Godts from Ajax – and on top of that, Ferran Torres is very close to a €50 million transfer from Barcelona.
“Torres has already approved a five-year contract, and Maghnes Akliouche is also in place. So once PSG have brought in the players they need – and I think that could become clearer this week – Liverpool will feel they can finally make a bid. And maybe then suddenly the price of Barcola drops.
