Liverpool are in talks with Genk about Lucca Brughmans.
The league start has not been brilliant, Liverpool got another draw on Saturday. 2 – 2 against Nottingham Forest at home at Anfield.
Liverpool are negotiating with a European club to sign their goalkeeper – at the same time as a Premier League rival is trying to lure one of Anfield’s goalkeeping talents away from Merseyside.

The Reds have two first-team goalkeepers in Alisson and Giorgi Mamardashvili. In addition, they brought in Freddie Woodman this summer as the third goalkeeper.
But according to insider Matteo Moretto, Mamardashvili may be on his way out.
His update is short and to the point: “Nottingham Forest want Giorgi Mamardashvili.”
Several insiders now confirm that Liverpool are already working on a replacement if the Georgian leaves the club.
Tavolieri: Liverpool have chosen their replacement
Sacha Tavolieri was first out with the following on social media:
“EXCL – Liverpool FC has chosen Lucca Brughmans as a replacement for Giorgi Mamardashvili!
Bayern Munich also have him on their radar, but the Reds are convinced of the future potential of the 2.00-metre tall Belgian goalkeeper.
Negotiations are ongoing.”

Romano confirms interest in Brughmans
Fabrizio Romano followed up with similar information about the pursuit of the 18-year-old from Genk – who measures 2 meters and 1 centimeter.
He wrote:
“Liverpool have made official club-to-club contact with Genk to sign Lucca Brughmans as their new goalkeeper.
#LFC is considering whether to sign Brughmans now – if Mamardashvili goes to Nottingham Forest – or whether he should join the club in 2027.
Agreement between the clubs – follows @sachatavolieri.”
When Mamardashvili arrived at Anfield, it was suggested that he was the natural successor to Alisson once the Brazilian leaves the club.
However, the Georgian has failed to establish himself as the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper when given the chance. It is still unclear whether Liverpool want to sell him, but the fact that they are already looking for a replacement suggests that the door could be open for a sale.
Brughmans, 18, has only 15 senior games for Genk – but has kept a clean sheet in six of them.
