Liverpool are ready to make another huge offer for PSG star Bradley Barcola – and the transfer could surpass Chelsea’s £117 million for Morgan Rogers, according to transfer reporter Ben Jacobs.
Liverpool already has a history of record deals. Last summer, they broke the transfer record twice – first with Florian Wirtz (£116m), then with Alexander Isak (£125m). Now they are once again looking for a big signing in attack, and Barcola is their main winger.

The Reds believe the Frenchman can dominate on both sides at Anfield – and they are also chasing Yankuba Minteh to give Andoni Iraola a whole new attacking arsenal.
The bids have been rejected – but now a new one is coming
Liverpool started with a bid of €100 million (£86 million) for Barcola, before increasing to €115 million (£98 million). Both were rejected by PSG, who first demanded €170 million (£145 million), before lowering their demands to €146 million (£125 million).
Now Jacobs says that Liverpool will make a new bid – and it will be bigger than £117 million:
“I still think Liverpool will make a formal bid before the window closes. If it’s more than Morgan Rogers, more than Elliot Anderson – and closer to the Yan Diomande deal – then it has a very realistic chance of going through,” Jacobs said.
Liverpool were previously looking for Diomande, but he opted for PSG – only to end up at Real Madrid in a deal worth up to €140 million (£120 million). That gave Liverpool an idea of what Barcola might cost.
Liverpool are willing to pay a maximum of £120 million for Barcola – which makes the deal very topical.
Agreement on personal terms
Liverpool have already agreed personal terms with both Barcola and Minteh. They also negotiated with PSG for Ibrahim Mbaye, but have now chosen to go for Minteh instead.
French Fabrice Hawkins stated earlier this week:
“Bradley Barcola wants to go to Liverpool. PSG was informed of his wish, and it was accepted. There is no intention to keep him. The core of the dispute has been the valuation – PSG started at 170 million euros.
“Liverpool have made verbal offers, but the formal written offer has not yet been submitted. Everyone involved believes there will be a deal – probably between 130 and 150 million euros, but not less than 120 million.
With the transfer window coming to an end, Liverpool could soon make the biggest signing of the summer. The only question is how much they are willing to pay to get their husband.
