Throughout the summer, Liverpool were chasing Bradley Barcola signing. At the very end, PSG also gave the thumbs up, but only when the Premier League club was willing to fork out £123 million for the 24-year-old’s services. With this, the Frenchman was suddenly Liverpool’s second most expensive signing ever, expectations are of course almost impossible to reach after a few months in the Liverpool shirt.
Barcola has yet to deliver goals or assists for his new club, in Sunday’s game against Manchester City it was the defensive effort of the 24-year-old that was applauded. Not what Liverpool want from a £123 million investment in attack.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Barcola shed light on what he is specifically struggling with in the English top flight right now.
-Ligue 1 is very physical. But here I would say that it is more physical in terms of the running you have to do. The intensity is so high, Barcola explains.
Which reassures Liverpool supporters that it came as no surprise.
-That’s also why I came here. It’s a new challenge for me to take on, says the new Liverpool player. Who on Sunday got a scoring lesson in the world’s toughest league by Haaland, Doku and Cherki.
