Weeks after The Friedkin Group announced that it will sell Everton, the Toffees have piqued the interest of a candidate with a net worth of nearly £200 billion.

Everton lost to a much stronger Arsenal team at the weekend at the Emirates Stadium.

Friedkin’s announcement came as a shock to many. They first came to give the club much-needed good news in December 2024 – but are now looking for a way out less than two years later.

Was Michael Carrick deceived by Manchester United with a “half-time clause”?

In a statement, the owners said:

“When TFG took over as manager of Everton, the club faced significant financial uncertainty and challenges both on and off the pitch.

The immediate priority was to provide the stability, investment and support needed to secure the club’s future – including helping to complete the long-promised stadium facility for the deserving supporters. With that foundation firmly in place, the time has come to consider the next chapter for Everton.”

The search for new owners has been going on ever since. And if the latest reports are correct, the Toffees could be in luck. While nothing is at an advanced stage, there is definitely interest in taking over the club from Friedkin at their request.

American billionaires consider Everton acquisition

According to journalist Alan Nixon on his Patreon, the American billionaires in the Dell family are now considering joining the race to buy Everton.

The Dell family has an impressive net worth and has previously invested in both Sunderland and Crystal Palace through loan company MSD – which at least gives them some Premier League knowledge. They will also come with plenty of capital.

You may have noticed that US President Donald Trump on several occasions after buying Dell shares at his MAGA events has encouraged everyone to buy Dell computers and stocks. – The family has of course given big money to Donald Trump’s ballroom at the White House, bought Donald Trump’s crypto currency and pumped big money into the midterm elections on the Republican side.

Net Worth of Premier League Owners Compared to Dell Family:

Club/owner Net worth
Newcastle United £1,200 billion
Liverpool £365 billion
Michael Dell £195 billion
Manchester City £24 billion
Manchester United £20 billion

It is also not the first time the Dell family has been interested in Everton. Before Friedkin’s acquisition, the Americans were ready to support an acquisition through the two lifelong supporters Andy Bell and George Downing. The bid was serious, but it was Friedkin who ultimately completed the acquisition.

Now, two years later, the Toffees are in a healthier position and are considered more attractive. When the race for a billion-dollar deal to complete an acquisition begins, the Dell family could be well-positioned.

Given that the Arab market is reportedly subdued right now, the Americans could be someone to watch – now that Friedkin is ready to sell so soon after arriving on Merseyside, which would be a big boost for David Moyes.
