Liverpool are “eager” to bring Xavier Parker to Anfield. Manchester City’s attitude towards the young midfielder has come to light, while Liverpool’s owners, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), are facing a setback in their pursuit of a German talent.
A couple of days ago, it emerged that Liverpool are planning a raid on Manchester City to secure young Parker.

According to journalist Lewis Bower, a transfer for the 16-year-old midfielder to Liverpool is “possible”.
Bower wrote on social media: “Liverpool admire Manchester City and England Under-16 midfielder Xavier Parker and have been following his situation. I have reason to believe that a transition is possible and can happen.”
The attacking midfielder has been in Man City’s book since 2024, after leaving West Ham United’s academy.
Manchester City’s official website has described the teenager as “a creative midfielder”.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed Liverpool’s interest in Parker, while revealing that Man City are doing their best to prevent the teenager from disappearing: “Manchester City are working actively and hard to reach an agreement with Xavier Parker’s camp on a new contract. Several clubs appreciate Xavier, and Liverpool are eager, but no decision has been made yet. Man City are trying to keep him because they see Parker as an elite talent.”
Liverpool miss out on Kennet Eichhorn
While Liverpool still have hopes of striking a deal for Parker, the Premier League club have missed out on the signing of Kennet Eichhorn.
TEAMtalk reports that Liverpool have been interested in Eichhorn for a while, and have been working behind the scenes to convince him to move to Anfield.
The 16-year-old defensive midfielder is currently at Hertha Berlin and is considered one of the greatest young talents in Europe.
However, Liverpool would not have been able to bring Eichhorn to Anfield right away, but would have to wait until he turned 18.
However, sources have told our transfer insider, Graeme Bailey, that a move to Liverpool is not currently on the cards.
Eichhorn is on his way to Bayer Leverkusen, where he will sign a contract that lasts until 2031.
