Manchester United’s quest to bring Alejandro Balde to Old Trafford in the January window has just become more difficult. A Spanish journalist claims that Liverpool and AC Milan are now ready to make competing bids for the Barcelona star.

Manchester United wanted to sign Balde from Barcelona in the summer transfer window, when it went down the drain they thought the bosses at Old Trafford couldn’t get the famous finger out. But the problem apparently wasn’t there!!
But as Balde was not keen on leaving the Spanish champions, Manchester United co-owners INEOS were unable to secure a deal for the left-back.
Manchester United are still interested in the 23-year-old, who has won LaLiga three times with Barcelona so far in his career.
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is not thrilled with Balde, who has only made three appearances in LaLiga and one appearance in the Champions League so far this season.
This opens the way for a Balde deal in January
Spanish journalist Juan Jesus reports that Manchester United want to plunder Barcelona for Balde in the January window. – He wrote on social media: “Despite the injury-related absences of Espart, Koundé and Eric García, Hansi Flick is still not counting on Alejandro Balde.
“The German coach is not at all convinced by the full-back and does not include him in his plans.
“The player is still on the transfer list, and the door is wide open for his departure in the winter transfer window.
“Balde is deeply affected by this situation: he feels neglected, perceives that Flick is not counting on him, and is really going through a tough time.”
He continued earlier today: “The relationship between Hansi Flick and Alejandro Balde is completely broken and ice-cold.
“They hardly talk to each other, and the player is relegated to secondary roles in training to patch up absences.
“In the face of what they consider to be a total lack of respect, Balde’s entourage now assumes that leaving the club in January is the best option.
“His attitude has changed compared to what happened in the summer.

Jesus has now claimed that Liverpool and AC Milan, who hired former Man Utd manager Rúben Amorim as boss in the summer of 2026, have joined Man Utd in the bidding war for Balde, which is valued at €45m (£37.6m, $50.5m).
Jesus follows opr: “Liverpool and AC Milan are going all in for Alejandro Balde. They join Manchester United in the bidding war.
“Both Andoni Iraola and Rúben Amorim are fans of the player and believe he would fit perfectly into their respective systems.
“Already open to leaving the club this winter, Barça has already set the price: the Catalan club is demanding a minimum of 45 million euros to let him go.”
